Budget Development Template for Proposal Submissions
As a Senior Proposal Coordinator, I designed a budget development template that fulfills the requirements of fellow Coordinators while maintaining a straightforward interface for faculty less acquainted with budgeting. The aim was to craft an intuitive and user-friendly tool that simplifies the creation of project budgets.

Leveraging my proficiency in budget development and Excel, I customized a practical solution that caters to various user needs.

I am a self-described Excel Enthusiast and I'm always looking to improve my knowledge and continually tweak my collection of templates to better serve myself and my colleagues.

Streamlined Proposal Tracking System with Sustainability Focus
Research Administrators often face heavy workloads. To boost efficiency in managing numerous proposals, I developed a practical low-tech tracking system. Customized forms enable me to capture vital data like proposal numbers, PI details, sponsor names, and due dates. Further columns track every process step, ensuring smooth proposal management from creation to internal routing in Kuali Research and eventual submission to sponsors.
To minimize resource usage and waste, I implemented an eco-friendly approach by printing the forms on the blank side of used office paper.

Enhancing Proposal Development through Informative Training Materials
Educating both faculty and research staff about proposal submission and award processes is crucial for efficient collaboration. To achieve this, I've created informative pamphlets and flyers that cover the following topics:

-
Kuali Research Proposal Development: A step-by-step guide to initiating proposals using our institutional tracking system, Kuali Research, complete with screenshots.
-
PreAward 101: A summary of the PreAward process, from proposal initiation in Kuali to final submission, including details about available resources, services from the Research Integrity and Compliance Office, and contact information for PreAward support staff.
Developing these tailored materials for our primary customers, Faculty Researchers and Research Staff, demonstrates my ability to creatively meet our educational objectives.

I enjoy training fellow Research Administrators and I'm currently working on the development of courses for training the recently hired or those who need additional training. We also have a newly initiated Research Administrator Network (RAN) to connect all staff involved in research administration at Texas State University - aka RANdroids!
